I somehow managed to locate out some turbo charged cars with this so call as cold air intake system, and after i asked some of my friends. They mentioned that this system will give advantage to NA engine cars. Regarding turbo charged, i am not too sure.
It was done by using a soft hose 2.5" diameter, which was luckily that my dad use to know those 80's century old car modifiers...whereby they use to have this sort of hose for modifying aircond into old cars. Then plus, a special 2.5" diameter grill gun haha!~~ gezz... i guess my dad has it all dun he.. :P
A hole was done to my year 93' original bumper... and the rides onwards during hot peak temperature hours were never feel like jet lagged or the rpm refuse to rev up...
But, bad thing about this hose positioning is that... it was located too low which if u pass thru a puddle of water which is too high..or a flooding road.. ur engine might end up dead on road side. But i got myself a new FX bumper, so guess no more hole grill jobs requires... i can just attached it up there on those huge holes.. ^_^
Wala... da Cold air intake system.. it works great for NA.. Carburator, WEBER, or Injections.. ^_^
but you must make sure that you have sealed 100% from the air system box till the hose... so that the only entrance of the air intake were done 100% from the hose end.
