Got my this set of Tein earlier last month. I myself wasn't pretty sure what sort of Tein it is. But the shop owner told me that it was a limited street racing type. With 2 set of springs and coilovers. It is just a high low adjustable absorber. The piston it comes with aren't those with soft hard adjustable type. In order to change the piston to soft hard version it will cost additional rm300-400. First feeling about this set is that, it really gives a hell out of rides during cornering times. And believe me, i can put down a cornering force till my tyre (15' bridgestone) unable to grip on the floor. The feeling is very nice.. indeed.
But later after few weeks, left side has a leakage. Due to the Oil seal wasn't working properly and i took it back to the shop. Took me 1 week to get it back out. And gezz, later it again leaks again. Today, 19th April 06, finally i can't stand the problems due to this set of Tein. It just aren't giving me a full confident back anymore. The piston seems to be no longer smooth and there are scratch on the piston wall, which makes it leaks again.
I have traded it back in after a long talks and wait on that shop. Which good thing is that, thank god i didn't start to yelling and cursing that owner because he accepted my solutions of replacing another set of 4 spring+custom absorber for my cars, 4kg front and 2kg rear with 2 fingers gap in front and 1 finger gap on rear.. and using a custom normal enhanced +30% harder absorber.
Really a bad luck getting this set of Black Tein.. just hope in future later on once i try another set of GREEN HA Tein will be better.
Here is some others research i have been doing on the web on others corolla suspension..
The stainless steel version was some Fighter(damper)..
As for blue set was Cusco
